Claude
A tendency to prioritize theoretical consistency at the expense of melody, rhythm, and form. (Generation based on a "deductive/penalty-avoidance" approach)

Emphasis on form; chord progressions and rhythms tend to be monotonous. (Conservative generation)

It’s an app that lets you add sound effects using custom tags alongside SRT files, and even apply reverb to the text.

I encountered an issue where a review had been deleted, preventing me from replying to the user. I attached a screenshot and asked Google, "Was this review deleted by Google or by the user?"
Google’s reply was simply: "Reviews can be deleted by either Google or the user. We are now closing this inquiry."
"The user deleted it," "Google deleted it," or "We cannot answer, and here is the reason why..."
They refuse to give a straight answer from these three options, leaving me in a terribly frustrating position. It’s disheartening not to be able to reply to the user.

① Recalibrating the trigger timing for time-stretching and TTS playback
② Ensuring consistency between waveform synthesis, in-app previewing (ExoPlayer), and exporting (using my custom PhaseVocoder engine)
③ Eliminating jitter noise during the synthesis process...
To be honest, the workload was so overwhelming at one point that I almost gave up, but I somehow managed to pull it off...
I’d love to apply what I’ve learned here to another app—any ideas?

2026-09-14
It’s clear the field will keep advancing, so refining an engine now is certainly a valid option. However, it’s hard to gauge how competitive the standard Android API will remain. Right now, third-party alternatives offer vastly superior quality (though a small-scale solo developer like me can't afford the costs associated with those APIs).
It’s a real dilemma...

I received a notification from Google—bordering on a threat—regarding "Pitch Tempo Changer" and "Video Speed and Pitch Changer," warning that if I didn't add support for R8, they would limit the apps' visibility on the Play Store.
Personally, I prioritize stability and usability over app size, but it seems Google doesn't see it that way.
And sure enough, once I actually implemented the changes, Google's review AI hit me with a completely nonsensical reason for rejection.
Dealing with this kind of thing really takes a toll on me.
The ultimate irony is that I’m tackling this absurdity in a joint effort with "Antigravity."

(Google
2026-08-16
Personally, however, I view Google's decision to allocate resources to the Gemini Flash model as an approach that is highly considerate of developers like us.
I believe that AI reaching a level comparable to human intuition is likely still a long way off. For the foreseeable future, rather than handing everything over to AI, I think superior results are achieved through an iterative process of "Do" (shifting the workload to AI) and "Check" (human oversight).
(Not that I’m trying to take Google’s side, though.)

2026-08-14
Aside from issues like wrongful account suspensions and the spread of falsehoods, there is simply too much misinformation in the news stories X officially highlights.
For that matter, X itself doesn't seem willing to shoulder that level of responsibility.
Ultimately, this is less an issue with the platform itself and more an issue with how it is used; however, I think it is highly problematic for high-ranking government officials to use X as their primary channel for disseminating official information.
I could understand using it for mirroring information or sharing minor updates.
My concern arises when, for instance, government bodies prioritize X for critical information—such as details on disaster relief or the opening of evacuation centers.

2026-08-05
This causes an issue where, when converting a female voice to a male voice using formant shifting in the Pitch Tempo Changer, the result sounds as if the speaker is talking with something in their mouth.
To address this, I tried mitigating the impact (shift amount) of F1 and F2, though I'll need to experiment further to see just how effective that approach is.

2026-08-01
・Developer responses to reviews are never displayed.
・Even when a reviewer updates their post to express thanks after an issue has been resolved, the original review pointing out the bug remains visible.
・Installation counts and ratings remain outdated and are not updated.
・With the advent of LLMs, this degraded information is presented as if it were objective and accurate.
・Due to the developer-subscription revenue model, the system can function in a way that creates a "manufactured problem and solution" scenario (I am not explicitly stating this is happening, but rather that the structure allows for such a dynamic).
For these reasons, the system creates a structure that is disadvantageous to both developers and users.

We've made it possible to adjust the formant settings in much greater detail. Specifically, these include:
- On/off fade (smoothing) processing around the order of the cepstrum coefficient
- On/off mitigation of the effect on the high frequency range
- On/off suppression processing at low volume levels
- Degree of suppression at high energy (intended for percussion and drums)
These are some of the values. If you don't change them, the settings are generally safe, but the default might be a little too conservative (protecting the original sound too much).

About DS Soft
Our Vision: Bringing "What If" to Life
Our Mission
Formed in June 2025, DS Soft is a team dedicated to developing apps that address daily needs and
"solve everyday inconveniences."
From practical utility tools to niche music production aids drawing on our own performance
experience, we build what we truly want to use, regardless of genre. Our mission is to value
small realizations in daily life—where something specific would be helpful or fun—and quickly
turn them into reality.
Our Commitment to App Development
For Music Lovers
At DS Soft, we develop apps based on the idea of "it would be great to have this"—a
concept born from our own musical experiences.
Even with standard tools like metronomes and tuners,
we incorporate our own unique touches—such as clock-style indicators or polyrhythm
functions—reflecting the features we personally wished existed.
We may sometimes venture into niche territory with features that are far from
conventional.
You might encounter functions like odd-meter conversion, undertone series, or N-tone
equal temperament techniques,
and wonder, "What are these actually used for?"
Nevertheless, we continue our development in the hope that even a single user might
discover a new world of sound through our apps.
Designing for Niche Needs and Freedom
We are dedicated to addressing niche needs and solving daily inconveniences that
mainstream apps often overlook.
While modern designs tend to hide advanced settings under the guise of "simplicity" or
"auto-optimization," we avoid hardcoding parameters and instead leave them open for
users to customize. We strive to balance intuitive ease-of-use for beginners with the
freedom for advanced users to fully customize their experience.
Commitment to Local Processing
We process all sensitive files, such as audio and video, entirely on your local device
without ever uploading them to a remote server.
While processing speeds may vary depending on your device's performance, this approach
completely eliminates the risk of external data leaks, ensuring your privacy is fully
protected at all times.
Playfulness and Utility
Our tool-based apps prioritize the experience of "pure discovery" through the
manipulation of parameters and logic,
which may make them appear understated at first glance.
This is a deliberate choice — one that conserves development resources,
reduces device load, and allows users to perceive parameter changes without unnecessary
distractions.
We hope that adjusting these settings inspires users to think, "What if I change this?
Wouldn't it be more interesting or useful?" and sparks a cycle of creative ideas.
Indeed, our own development process is built upon this very cycle of trial, error, and
discovery.
Small Team Agility & AI-Driven Speed
Pink Noise
Leveraging the agility of a small development team, we strive to turn user feedback and
ideas into reality as quickly as possible.
The rise of generative AI has dramatically reduced the cost of experimenting with new
ideas.
At the same time, we believe that—at least for now—usability and the finer details of
quality are aspects that can only be refined through repeated collaboration and
iteration between humans and AI.
We feel this is especially true for relatively niche applications like those developed
by DS Soft.
At DS Soft, we actively use AI to accelerate the Build (Do) → Test (Check) cycle,
allowing us to respond to user feedback quickly while maintaining a high standard of
quality.
Many of the improvements we've delivered—including the addition of the Phase Vocoder
feature and enhanced track separation accuracy in Pitch Tempo Changer,
as well as the timer feature in Pink Noise Generator—were inspired directly by feedback
from our users.
Pursuing 100% Organic Ratings
DS
None of our apps display popups asking you to rate or review them. We believe these
prompts disrupt the pure user experience (UX) and distort the fairness of app store
ratings.
For instance, by targeting only highly active users (e.g., displaying a prompt only
after five days of continuous use), marketing tactics can easily filter ratings and
inflate scores, overshadowing the actual quality of the app.
Every review we receive comes from users who genuinely felt inspired to return to the
app store on their own initiative to leave a rating or comment. We believe these
voluntary voices are infinitely more valuable than prompts driven by popups, and they
serve as our only true guide.
